A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Blitar, East Java, on Tuesday, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) said.
There was no tsunami warning.
The quake struck at a depth of 25 km at 7.14 a.m. 170 km southeast of Blitar Cilacap and was felt in neighboring towns such as Malang and Jember.
Indonesia sits on the Pacific "Ring of Fire", where the meeting of continental plates causes high seismic activity.
