4.8- magnitude quake jolts Aceh

A 4.8-magnitude earthquake rocked Aceh on Monday evening, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).

US Geological Survey said that the epicenter of the earthquake was situated 99 kilometers from Lhokseumawe at the depth of 50.3 kilometers below sea level.

The earthquake did not trigger a tsunami, the agency said.

No damages or casualties have yet been reported, according to kompas.com. (swd/mtq)
