Stray dog kills wild boar in villager`s bedroom
Tasikmalaya, W Java (ANTARA News) - A stray dog killed a wild boar after the two animals fought each other in the bedroom of a resident of Tanjung village in Tasikmalaya district causing some material damage to the house owner.
The incident happened last Wednesday (July 29) when a wild boar suddenly stormed into the house of Mrs Rohanah apparently to escape from a stray dog which had been pursuing it for some time.
After entering the house by crashing through a 1.20 X 1.40 meter glass window pane, the boar ran through the living room into a bed-room. All the way, it was followed by the dog.
A number of other villagers who had unsuccessfully tried to catch both animals outside, when informed the latter were in the bed-room , quickly shut the bedroom door, thereby finally cornering them.
Inside the bedroom, boar and dog engaged in a savage battle. The people outside the bedroom could hear the growls and shrieks of the fighting animals until they only heard the dog barking.
When the villagers finally opened the bedroom door, they saw the boar with blood seeping from several wounds lying still and the dog also with some injuries still standing up. Some furniture was ruined or bore blood stains and the mattress on the bed was torn.
The havoc was so extensive that Mrs Rohanah, her daughter-in-law and grand-child could not spend the night in her house because neighbors still had to help her clean up the mess.
