Representatives from the Taman Yasmin Indonesian Protestant Church and the chief of Bogor Public Order Office have reported each other to the Bogor Police over respective claims, a police official says.
The church reported the Bogor Public Order Office for allegedly disrupting religious freedom, and the office chief reported members of the congregation over alleged assault.
“So far we have questioned five witnesses,” Bogor Police crimes division chief Adj. Comr. Iman Imanudin said Monday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
Bogor public order officers allegedly attempted to remove the congregation who were holding a Sunday service in a street.
During the operation, Bogor Public Order office chief Bambang Budiyanto was allegedly hit from behind, which ignited further tensions between the two parties.
