Four construction workers were killed and two others injured on Sunday in a Lawu landslide, East Java.
The dead victims were Sunar, 35, Darno, 45, Yatmi, 40 and Yanti, 30, while the injured were Wahyudi, 20 and Pramono, 19.
The workers were working on a temporary dike to prevent a landslide.
“Suddenly a landslide hit and buried four workers to death,” Plaosan police chief Adj. Comr. Setyo Wiyono said as quoted by tempointeraktif.com
The dead victims were recovered after one hour of evacuation process using simple tools like hoes and shovels.
