Mule carrying Rp 7b of crystal meth nabbed at Polonia

Polonia International Airport Customs officers reported on Friday to have captured a man in possession of 7 kg of crystal methamphetamine, worth an estimated Rp 7 billion (US$784,000).
The man, Noerdin Muhammad Amin, was apparently noticed by officials while his bag was being X-rayed.
Noerdin was scheduled to head to Jakarta on Friday morning, but is now in police custody facing further questioning.
Bobby, one of the officers who made the arrest, said Noerdin had admitted he was tasked to deliver the contraband, locally known as shabu-shabu, to someone he didn’t know when he reached Jakarta.
National Police narcotics division chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Andi Rian said his team would interrogate Noerdin in efforts to find out who was behind the operation, but was still working on the case.
“I don't have much to say right now. Please give us some time to
conduct our investigation,” Rian said as quoted.
