The foster father of Mujianto, who police say has admitted to poisoning 15 gay men, killing four, says he intends to visit every alleged victim’s family to seek for forgiveness once investigations are completed.
“I will ask for their forgiveness over my son terrible mistakes,” Parni, the foster father, told The Jakarta Post on Thursday.
He then said that he has been questioned by the police after Mujianto was named as a suspected serial killer.
When asked if he had been aware of Mujianto sexual preferences, Parni said that he had no idea, but added that Mujianto was introverted and maintained distance from his female peers
“He never tells me anything about getting married either,” he said.
East Java Police psychiatrist Adj. Sr. Comr. Roni Subagyo confirmed that Mujianto is gay and said that suspect was in a sober condition when questioned about the killings.
“He told us about the killings in clear language and without hesitation,” he alleged.
He said that Mujianto told the police that his actions were triggered by jealousy because he had suspected that the 15 men had been flirting with his boyfriend, Joko.
Of the 15, the police have discovered four dead men and two survivors, but have not found the others.(dic)
