TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:
After over two months at Tanjung Priok Port, 113 containers that contain poisonous and dangerous waste belonging to PT HHS will be returned to their origin countries, the UK and the Netherlands. The delivery will be done after the confiscation and product sorting process, which will be used as evidence.
According to the Environment Ministry’s legal management deputy, Sudaryono, PT HHS has not been named as a suspect. Previously in January, the Finance Ministry’s customs directorate general, in collaboration with the Environment Ministry, seized 113 containers from the UK and the Netherlands that were carrying old metal contaminated with poisonous and dangerous waste.
(one way for the UK and the Netherlands to get rid of stuff they do not want, dump it in other man's backyard siK.)
