A 73-year-old woman from Medan, North Sumatra, is facing 20 years in prison for allegedly selling five kilograms of marijuana in Agam, West Sumatra.
Agam Police deputy chief Comr. Ichwan said on Thursday that the suspect, Jayen Mariam, had been arrested a day earlier on her way to deliver a package of marijuana to an unidentified costumer.
"We are still investigating to whom the package was actually sent," Ichwan said, as quoted by tribunnews.com.
The suspect, he continued, had admitted that she had regularly transported marijuana from Medan to several places in West Sumatra and Jambi by bus and travel services.
The suspect, who received around Rp 1 million (US$109) for every delivery, wrapped the marijuana in a plastic bag and brought it along with her.
Ichwan said the police will charge Jayen with the 2009 Narcotics Law.
