Asking God


Three old men went to see God.

The first old man, an American, asked God when will his country come out of recession. "100 years," God said.
The American started weeping profusely. "I will not live to see that day"

Second man, a Russian asked God "When will my country become prosperous?" "Fifty years," came the reply.
Russian too started weeping profusely. "I will not live to see that day"

Finally the Indonesian asked God, "When will my country become corruption-free?"
God started weeping profusely. "I will not live to see that day"

No problem for me, because the doctors had me forbidden to travel by airplane, so it is impossible for me to go to Indonesia .

Jangan begitu loh bro K'nijn, where there's a will is a way, ferry from Hoek van Holland to Hull, than passage on a P&O cruise ship to Singapura, from there via a local ferry to Indonesia! It was a little easier in the old days, you could book passage on a cargo ship with pasenger accomodation from either R'dam or A'dam vis Suez or Panama canal, or around Cape De Goede Hoop and than on to Indonesia, it took considerably longer than flying, a bit more expensive but "gezelliger", better food and drink and more ports of call, a holiday at sea if you like! See yah, siK.

Pak Kesas, what are you still very resourceful!

But the next problem is that in that case, I have to go alone to Indonesia, because my wife do not like ships (always seasick).

Well old Kesas to the rescue, we'll send your darling off to the Cote d'Azur on a wel deserved holiday ( paid for by you ofcourse in advance) Than you on your way to the Gordel van Smaragd with your newly gained eye sight to do a spot of "bird-watching" this time without sunglasses, haha reminds me of a phrase out of a fairy-tale slightly edited, 'bro K'nijn-bro K'nijn what big eyes you've got" the reply was " better to see you with my dear" I think that this came from "Rood-kapje en de Wolf" forgotten the rest! You don't know how lucky you just are! Too da loo si K.

Dear Pak Kesas, I would prefer today to my birth-land to go and maybe stay there for ever. But I want my dear wife and children and grandchildren not to leave for ever.

Still no problemo for old Kesas, pack up your entire family for a holiday on one of your favorite islands in the Gordel van Smaragd and I think that once they got used to the climate and food, they most probably would not want to go back! give it a try, if they than still weren't happy, well at least everyone still had a bonzer holiday never to forget! Sampai nanti loh! siK.

Good idea, Pak Kesas, but I have not so much money .....
