Miniature train ride tips over at a Pasar Malam in Medan, injuring 5 children
Medan, - Five children suffered minor cuts and bruises after the miniature railroad car at the fair they were on overturned. Parents of the victims are going to make a complaint to the police.
The miniature railway accident occurred around 21:00 pm, Saturday (02/02/2013) at the Pasar Malam located at Jalan Bilal end, Brayan Army, Medan.
There were five children and one adult Anto on the ride at that time After they went around a few times on the circular rail-track, the trailer carriages suddenly detached and tipped over.
As a result, children who were sitting in the carriage, also tumbled. "The children recieved bruising
to the head and body," said Anto who brought her two children Tiara (4) and Sigit (3) on the toy train.
Anto and the parents of children who were in the rail-car that fateful evening made a complaint to Polsekta East Medan, Medan Police. They also demanded that the Pasar Malam manager pay for X-ray scanning of the injured children.
After the accident, the train rides were halted by police. The Pasar Malam is open from January 25 will operate there until 5 March.
