A resident of Semarang, Central Java, reported her husband to the police on Friday for scalding his two-year-old son with hot water, according to a police report.
“At the time I was doing my sales round and only got home at about seven in the evening,” The Mei Hwa, 40, told the Semarang Police, according to the state-run Antara news agency.
She said that her husband, Sutkino Hadi, 48, had burned the child while she was out.
She found her son in the car, she said, covered in burns, while her husband was watching television. He told her that hot water had fallen on the boy.
At the hospital, doctors told her that the burns looked intentional.
“According to the doctor who treated the boy, it was impossible that such burn wounds were the result of an inadvertant dousing,” she said.
She did not say why she waited before filing a police report.
The Semarang Police unit for the protection of women and children is handling the case.
(Got annoyed with the child when he wanted to watch Tv? Only one remedy for the cure, pour boiling water over him like he did with his (?) child then string him up by the heels in full sunshine and let him hang to dry out for a few days, that would give him some idea what this young person must have felt being left to himself with his injurries out in a car! Makes you wonder if there were other children in this house That is less than bestial!)
