Somali Foreign Minister Abdullahi Omar Arsharq said Tuesday that his government was committed to helping release Indonesian people held
hostage by Somali pirates.
“The Somali Foreign Minister has conveyed his commitment to help the Indonesian government and ship owner to release the hostages,” the
Indonesian Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa said piracy was an international crime that must be tackled comprehensively at national,
regional, and global levels.
(The Somali government committed etc? Makes you wonder how deep their hands go into the proceeds of piracy, they never made so many millions before piracy, so why stop now!)
