A resident at Greenland, Batam Center, Riau Islands, has been found dead with his head separated from his body after being devoured by his own dogs.
Batam Kota Sub-Precinct police office chief Comr. Eriyana confirmed on Tuesday, that seven dogs belonging to Andre Lumboga attacked their master apparently as a result of starvation.
“The victim was believed to have had nine dogs as pets. He went to Manado [North Sulawesi] during the Idul Fitri holidays, leaving the dogs for 14 days without any food,” he said as quoted by vivanews.com.
Of the nine dogs, only seven attacked Andre. “They had previously eaten the other two,” Eriyana explained.
Eriyana explained that as soon as Andre arrived at his house, his dogs attacked him ferociously, decapitated him and ate all the flesh, leaving only his skull when police officers arrived.
It was reported that the seven dogs also attacked police officers trying to enter the house. “We had to paralyze them,” Eriyana said.
