Fifteen people died in Banyumas, Central Java, when a bus collided with four vehicles on Saturday after its brakes gave out.
The bus, owned by PO Karyasari, struck two cars and two motorbikes, pushing the vehicles over the edge of a 5-meter-high cliff before coming to a stop, according to reports in local media.
Fifteen people, including four children, died in the accident.
“All have been identified,” Banyumas Police traffic division head Adj. Comr. Chalid Mawardi told the Indonesian news portal Detik.com on Sunday.
Seven others were hospitalized for injuries sustained in the crash, Chalid said.
Police are investigating the crash. The bus driver survived the accident and is being questioned by police.
