Fire razed a palm oil factory in an industrial area in Surabaya, East Java, on Saturday afternoon. No fatalities were reported and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
Workers from PT Indo Vegetable Oil were quoted by Antara state news agency as saying a machine used to crush palm kernels exploded and caused the fire.
Five fire engines were dispatched to the scene.
The fire occurred as workers in the area were finishing their shift, slowing the extinguishing process. (adh)
