Floods inundate 15 subdistricts in Jakarta,

The Ciliwung and Pesanggrahan rivers overflowed on Thursday evening inundating 2,755 homes in 15 subdistricts in Jakarta.
The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) spokesman, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, said the 15 subdistricts comprised Kampung Melayu, Bidara Cina, Cililitan and Cawang in East Jakarta; Bukit Duri, Kebon Baru, Pejaten Timur, Ulu Jami, Bintaro, Pondok Pinang, Cipulir, Grogol Selatan, and Pondok Labu in South Jakarta; and South Kedoya and South Sukabumi in West Jakarta.
As many as 5,407 people have been affected by the floods but only 139 people have been evacuated.
According to Sutopo, the Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) had prepared emergency posts in every subdistrict.
