Police admits knowing Ibu Pur

National Police chief Gen. Sutarman has acknowledged that he knows Sylvia “Ibu Pur” Sholehah, who is believed to be closely associated with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s family, and is alleged to have played a role in the Hambalang graft case.
“Ibu Pur’s husband is a retired police officer, so of course I know her,” Sutarman said on the sidelines of a ceremony to mark International Anti-Corruption Day at the State Palace on Monday.
When asked if Ibu Pur and he had ever discussed the Hambalang project, Sutarman, who became the chief of police in September, said, “I have nothing at all to do [with the Hambalang case]”.
A leaked classified Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) document detailed the involvement of Ibu Pur with Sutarman and Widodo Wisnu Sayoko, reportedly a cousin of the President.
The document, a copy of which was obtained by The Jakarta Post, is purported to have come from a KPK case dossier.
