Three people died and two others were badly injured in a landslide in Ciwaruga village in the West Java town of West Bandung on Monday, the disaster mitigation agency reports.
The dead victims were Arifin, age unknown, Lilis, 35, and Agil, 4. The two injured victims are Mariah, 40, and Wawan, 35.
The landslide also destroyed a house.
“The injured victims, one of who is in coma, are being treated at the hospital in Cibabat, Cimahi,” National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said Tuesday, as quoted by tribunnews.com.
He added that the local office of the agency was still gathering information on the number of victims and estimated material losses from the landslide.
